Free Mindfulness

The Lesley University Counseling Center (LUCC), in partnership with the Mindfulness Studies graduate program at Lesley University, is offering students free mindfulness sessions during the Fall 2023 semester.​

Mindfulness Offerings

Mindful Moments Series

Weekly 30-minute live sessions and recorded audio practices to grow mindfulness skills and confidence.

Mindfulness Immersions

Monthly 90-minute immersions exploring mindfulness and stress-related themes, such as burnout.

1:1 Mindfulness Coaching

Two weekly 30-minute mindfulness coaching sessions are available for additional 1:1 support.

Mindful Moments Series

College is demanding, and with so much to do, it can lead to a lot of stress.  Learning mindfulness tools can help you to navigate the pressure with presence.  The Mindfulness Moments Series offers flexible, short sessions to fit your busy schedule, focusing on one mindfulness skill at a time.

Live Online

Live sessions are virtual via Zoom and open to anyone in the United States*

*OnZoom does not allow attendees outside the US to register for free sessions at this time.

8-Week Series

  • Weekly series includes eight (8) sessions

  • Drop in anytime or attend the entire series

30-Minutes Sessions

Weekly recorded audio practices help grow your mindfulness skills in between sessions*.  The audio practices will be sent to anyone who registers.

Mindfulness Immersions

Mindfulness Immersions allow the exploration of mindfulness and common stress-related topics such as climate change or burnout.  These 90-minute sessions provide an introduction to mindfulness and the topic, as well as several mindfulness practices to help manage stress related to the topic.

Mindfulness & Self-Compassion

An introduction to mindfulness practices for being nicer to yourself.

In this Mindfulness Immersion, we will define mindfulness and its limitations, discuss self-compassion and its benefits, and explore mindfulness as a way of being nicer to ourselves.  We will engage in several short mindfulness practices to help cultivate self-compassion.

Mindfulness & Climate Anxiety

An introduction to mindfulness practices for managing climate-related stress.

November 8th, 2023 @ 3:00 - 4:30 pm ET

Are you stressed, worried, or angry about climate change?

In this Mindfulness Immersion, we will define mindfulness and its limitations, discuss climate anxiety and its consequences, and explore mindfulness as an intervention for climate-related stress.  We will engage in several short mindfulness practices to help manage climate-related stress.

Mindfulness & Communication

An introduction to mindfulness practices for communicating clearly.

December 6th, 2023 @ 3:00 - 4:30 pm ET

Are you struggling to be understood when you communicate?

 

In this Mindfulness Immersion, we will explore mindful communication, its principles, practices, benefits, and how to incorporate it into your life.  We will use short mindfulness practices and group activities to practice mindful communication.

1:1 Mindfulness Coaching

If you have questions or want to go deeper with a particular practice, 1:1 Mindfulness Coaching sessions are available to support you.  April has two 30-minute weekly Mindfulness Coaching sessions available on a first-come, first-served basis.

About Your Guide

Hi!  I'm April Neufeld.

I am a graduate student in the Mindfulness Studies program at Lesley University, and I will be your guide for the LUCC Mindfulness Offerings during the Fall 2023 semester.  In my professional life, I am a mindful leadership and embodied life coach, trauma-informed practitioner, and mindfulness facilitator.
